And I find that lack of sleep enhances them both.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The most important rule of raising money privately: Look for a market of one. You only need one investor to say yes!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>No matter who you are, you need two kinds of friends in your life. The first kind is one you can call when something good happens, and you need someone who will be excited for you. Not a fake excitement veiling envy, but a real excitement. You need someone who will actually be more excited for you than he would be if it had happened to him. The second kind of friend is somebody you can call when things go horribly wrong\u2014when your life is on the line and you only have one phone call\u3002<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Figuring out the right product is the innovator\u2019s job, not the customer\u2019s job. The customer only knows what she thinks she wants based on her experience with the current product. The innovator can take into account everything that\u2019s possible, but often must go against what she knows to be true. As a result, innovation requires a combination of knowledge, skill, and courage. Sometimes only the founder has the courage to ignore the data; we were running out of time, so I had to step in:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t care about any of the existing requirements; I need you to reinvent the product and we need to win.\u201d (Wartime CEO)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Markets weren\u2019t \u201cefficient\u201d at finding the truth; they were just very efficient at converging on a conclusion\u2014often the wrong conclusion.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>\u201cWell, boys, if you are going to have a dog race, then you are going to need a rabbit. And Oracle will be one hell of a rabbit.\u201d When selling the company, you need the &#8220;rabbit&#8221; to make you hot and\u00a0pricey.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u8fd9\u4e9b\u90fd\u662fChapter 1-3\u7684\u6545\u4e8b\u91cc\u9762\u7684\u7b14\u8bb0\uff0c\u672c\u6765\u4e4b\u524d\u51b3\u5b9a\u4e4b\u540e\u7684\u8bb0\u5728\u672c\u5b50\u4e0a\u9762\u7684\uff0c\u7a81\u7136\u53d1\u73b0\u6709\u4e9b\u5f88\u597d\u7684\u96f6\u96f6\u6563\u6563\u7684\u8bdd\uff0c\u8fd8\u662f\u4e22\u4e0a\u6765\u5427\u3002<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Spend zero time on what you could have done, and devote all of your time on what you might do.
